Once you have purchased your SPOT Tracker you must sign up on-line with SPOT for the basic service plan. (https://login.findmespot.com/spot-main-web/activation/index.html) plus the additional “Track Progress” plan that enables your unit to provide continuous tracking. The steps are:
Whether you are new to SPOT and activating your SPOT for the first time or you are a current
SPOT owner, it is easy to add Track Progress to your Basic Plan Service.
Simply purchase Track Progress during the registration process.
Current Customers: Log into your account, go to the MY SPOT Device tab and simply add the Track Progress Service to the SPOT unit of your choice. This will automatically add the Track Progress Services to your selected SPOT Messenger and charge the credit card on file. This
Service will be prorated so you only have one renewal date for all your services.
Set up a Shared Page
While logged into your account: Go to the Shared Pages tab and select Create Shared Page. Follow the quick, easy steps. You should confirm that the unit is tracking by turning your unit on and pressing the “Footprint” button, then click on your shared URL and look at the data on the left side of the tracking page. If you see multiple track messages every 10 to 15 minutes you are tracking. If you only see one single track message then you either forgot to hit the “Footprint” button on the tracker or you did not select the “Track Progress” option when you set up your account with SPOT.
