I have done a fair amount of long distant sailing and night crossings out of Florida to the Bahamas, Dry Tortugas, and the BVI. Most of my sailing has been out of Chicago including 19 Chicago to Mackinac Regattas (won 3 in the multihull division) and 17 Queens Cup Regatta across Lake Michigan. I am competent at most all boat positions including helmsman. My weight is 170-175 lbs. I could help with delivery of boat to Key West if needed. I am a free lance writer planning on doing an article on the race to Cuba.

My name is Jamey Fisher and I am looking for crew spots for myself and my 25 year old daughter, Julie, both to Key West and then on to Havana.

I am a Licensed OUPV Captain and have extensive small and larger boat sailing. I have done both the Chicago to Mackinac and Port Huron Mackinac races, the St Pete to Isla Mujeres Mexico race twice, the Bone Island regatta twice, and will be participating in the St Pete to Havana race in Feb-March.

I an a former Naval Flight Officer/Navigator, belong to the Sarasota Sailing Squadron where I race a Flying Scot and formerly owned and raced J-24, and Interlakes, and have crewed om many other designs.

Julie is newer to sailing but has race with me on my Scot and is a very competent sailor and very athletic, being a gymnast and gymnastics coach. She has just gotten back from 2 years in southern Africa with the Peace Corps. She was a French and Languages major at American University and is multi lingual, including Spanish.

Please contact Julie first as I am likely to be in Cuba as you read this.

My name is Claudia Pozniakoff and I'm looking to crew in the Bone Island race. My sailing experience has been in the recent past, racing with Dave Wilson / Solitude / on for-deck in SRQ Bay. I'm strong and agile and would love to crew for a serious team.

Hello Claudia,

Are you still interested in crewing for this year BIR?
We may have an open spot on a Beneteau 361.

World champion offshore racer. Extensive experience in VO 70, maxi, and superyacht. Looking for a fun ride, and a team that may want gentle coaching. Can tone it down, because it’s a fun ride to KW, and it’s still cold in Newport!! Let’s have fun and go fast!

Raced in several Virgin Island races. Skippered boats all over the Caribbean for 30+ years.
